<\/div>[vc_column_text]Galgos en Familia\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0is a project to save galgos founded and directed by\u00a0Vera Thorenaar<\/strong>. It\u00b4s main job is the recuperation of galgos, the majority rescued off the street or abandoned by their owners and their rehabilitation until they are put up for adoption in Spain and outside of our borders.<\/p>\n

Our galgos, after being rescued from the dog pounds and off the streets, are checked by a vet who perform all the basic tests for the most common illnesses such as filaria, erlichia, anaplasmosis, lyme disease and leishmania. After receiving their treatment, depending on each case, they are vaccinated, sterilized and microchipped.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0adoption process<\/strong> of our galgos, once they are fully recovered, starts with a questionnaire and a home visit of the family interested in adopting. If all goes well then the adoption contract will be signed and then finally there is a follow up of the animal in its new family.<\/p>\n
