This week we are giving Ronda a little extra help to see if we can find her forever home. She has been at the shelter longer than most and her companions Kodiak and Darci have long since left to their forever families. Ronda was abandoned at another dog shelter by her owner who had no further use for her. It was clear her attitude on arrival that she had suffered more than any dog should.

These pictures show how malnourished she was and it was heart breaking to see how afraid of humans she was, clearly she had never received an ounce of affection in her life.

However, we are pleased to say that Ronda is well on her way to being a loving member of any family. She is growing in confidence every day and since her arrival has shown herself to be a very playful and sociable member of her pack.

Ronda gets on well with other dogs and enjoys sunbathing and playing with them in the shelter. She is curious about her surrounds and even enjoys a quick dip in the doggie pool.

Ronda’s future family is one that understands the patience required in helping a dog like Ronda to overcome her tragic past. She is not at all aggressive or dominant, she is only timid because she is only now learning to associate humans with love.

We know there is a home for Ronda out there and a family that for her that will be patient and loving. We are sure that she will settle into a new home where she will continue to blossom into the beautiful and sweet galgo we know her to be.
