This week we are giving Beverly the spotlight as our ‘dog of the week’!!

Beverly is a beautiful galga with stunning features and a very expressive face. She came to us from a dog pound in Extremadura together with three other galgos. She had previously belonged to a galguero that most likely used her for breeding or hunting until he no longer saw enough ‘value’ in her to merit even the most basic of care.

Beverly is a sweet galga but has not managed to shake her fears. Abuse and mistreatment can leave deep scars and it can take time for a galgo to regain their trust in people. Beverly has made progress since her arrival at the shelter, a daily routine, positive energy and affection are helping her settle in but she is on a long journey. What she really needs is a loving home that will give her the stability, patience, routine and affection that will allow her to relax and let her true personality shine.

Beverly has gets on well with other dogs and is not at all dominant. She enjoys being outside with them in the sun playing or having a siesta in the shade. She really is a sweetheart that just needs to regain her trust and confidence in humans.

Beverly is looking for a loving home where she will be cared for and cherished for the rest of her life. She is a sweet and calm galga that has a lot to offer her future family. If they are patient and give her the space she needs we know that in return she will be a loving and loyal member of the family.
