This week we are all about Mila – a beautiful young podenca that is looking for her forever home.
Mila was living on the streets when she was found by one of our volunteers. She would take Mila food and water everyday to gain her confidence and try to catch her but it was a difficult task. However, she never gave up and one day Mila decided to trust her and now she lives with the same volunteer in her foster home waiting for her forever family to arrive.
As you can see Mila has adjusted well to domestic life and has shown herself to be a playful and energetic podenca who loves to play with her foster family and gets on well with the other dogs in the house. She loves to play and keeps everyone entertained with her charming personality. Mila will take all the strokes and cuddles she can get, she loves them! At first she was a little shy but as soon as she knows you’re a good human, like her foster family, she will want to be your new best friend.
Mila is learning how to be a well trained dog, with the love and dedication of her foster family she has made huge progress. She is learning to walk on the lead and is well on her way to being house trained, considering she has spent her entire life on the street we are very pleased with her progress and confident she will soon complete her training with flying colours. She travels well in the car and has been very happily sharing her foster home with 2 cats so we know she is completely compatible to go to a new family with other feline or canine members.

Mila is looking for her forever home now, a place that will be hers for the rest of her life and a family that will help her to forget all about her previous struggle on the streets. Mila is a fun and affectionate dog that will be an excellent addition to the family looking for a loving and loyal member.
