Klaus is our dog of the week and we know the perfect home is just around the corner!
Klaus was found on the side of the road in a village near Jaen (Bailén). This poor boy had been the victim of a horrific attack that had left him with a broken paw. He couldn’t move and the vet told us that he had probably been like this for several days.
This x-ray shows just how bad the attack was, poor Klaus was lucky to be rescued else his fate would have been much worse.
When Klaus arrived he went to live in a foster home as he required special attention to look after his leg. Despite his injury he was a sweet and affectionate dog when he arrived. We are happy to report that the surgery on Klaus we well and he is now recovered and ready to find his forever family.
Klaus is small in size compared to most males of the same breed and weighs 17kg.
His foster family tells us that he is a very good and affectionate dog. He is a very clever greyhound and has learnt to sit and go to his bed, he is very obedient. He loves small children although he is a little suspicious of unknown people but he comes and lets you pet him and after a while he does not want to part from you, he loves affection.
Check out a video of Klaus here.
Klaus is a sweet and playful dog, he gets on well with other dogs and is now accustomed to living in a house. We believe he would adjust well to almost any new environment that was full of love and affection for him.
