Dog of the week

This week we want to highlight one of our sweetest residents at the shelter; Prim.

Prim was abandoned along with many other galgos at a shelter in Toledo. All of the galgos had a date to be put down, but together, varios galgo associations were able to save them all.

Prim has had a tough life, it is very likely she was used as a hunting dog and a puppy making machine until her owner found her to no longer be of use and abandoned her.

Despite a life of abuse she is one of the sweetest dogs to come through the shelter!  She enjoys a good cuddle and will happily spend her day playing with other dogs, sunbathing and enjoying an afternoon siesta.

Prim not only gets on well with dogs but has been cat tested and she showed no interest in them at all. She was probably just waiting for the next human to come along and stroke her.

Prim will be 5 years old in September and we desperately want her to celebrate her birthday in her forever home with her forever family. She has suffered more than any dog should,  now her life should just be about love and family. She is ready to forget all about her past life and we know will take wonderfully to a loving home.
